♫♫ Ay! La Rumba del Tracatrá – Tracatrá, que todos quieren bailar – tracatrá – mueve la cintura – pa’ lante y pa’ trás..!!!♫♫ era como decía una de las canciones de Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca.
Quienes fuimos chamos en los ochentas y principios de los noventas recordaremos las presentaciones de las chicas de Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca. Este grupo formado por el guitarrista flamenco Juan Carlos y unas 6 u 8 bailarinas latinas bailando rumba causaron furor en el público masculino latinoamericano.
Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca comenzó en los setentas pero fue en los ochentas y noventas donde tuvieron el mayor éxito. Se presentaron en Latinoamérica en programas televisivos y en locales de espectáculos musicales. En Venezuela, Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca se presentaron varias veces en Sábado Sensacional. Recuerdo que en nuestro país el repertorio del grupo siempre era una fija como la rumba del tracatrá y una versión rumba de algún canción típica venezolana (Barlovento, caballo viejo, etc.)
La actriz Fedra Lopez inició su carrera artística en los ochentas como bailarina de Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca. Muchos consideran como la mejor época del grupo cuando estuvo Fedra Lopez.

– Si ya recuerdo era comun su presentacion en sabado sensacional cuando era lo mejor que habia , en verdad uno veia representaciones artisticas tanto nacionales como internacionales, no como ahora que presentan unos concursos y juegos tan malos que uno no sabe que empresario bota la plata en patrocinar este programa, por eso veo solo los canales de cable internacionales, porque en la televisora nacional no hada que ver, menos en señal abierta.
Pero juan Carlos y su rumba fue lo mejor en ese estilo de presentaciones. Donde estarán ahorita????
La rumba sigue. Desde hace 15 anyos actúan en un hotel de lujo en San Juan de PR. La rumba se creo en 1973 y han pasado seis generaciones de rumberas.
En el Hotel se dan los shows para los pasajeros de los cruceros que llegan a la isla. Es posible que pronto vayamos a Venezuela Ese es un país al que siempre quiero regresar. Gracias a todos JC

Recuerdo que estando de visita en el antiguo Macuto Sheraton anunciaban la presentación de «Juan Carlos y su rumba flamenca» y le llamo la atención el contrate entre las mujeres compenentes del grupo al lado del mismo Juan Carlos que parecio una especie de cadaver andante por lo raquitico.
Uff dios como no acordarse de la rumba, especialmente cuando se presentaba Fedra, era la época en que se empezaron a ver los hilos, si mal no recuerdo, alguien recuerda cuando salia fedra, que marca era la guitarra de juan carlos.? jajajaja..
El guitarrista (Juan Carlos) es español.
No si es español pero de esa epoca era un espectaculo muy particular y original que es dificil de olvidar por esos mujerones que no faltaban en el verdadero sabado sensacional donde tanto las estrellas nacionales e internacionales estrenaban sus exitos.
uff que mujeres y que epoca, un derroche de cuerpos, hilos y pechugas.
Una Rumba de verdad.
Hace unos días se presentó en el programa de los tres payasos ridículos esos (la galla Carla, el niño rata Kiko y el pato Ronald) llamado Buenas Noches y el espectáculo fue sencillamente deprimente.
La propia decadencia.
Cherto! Fedra Lopez es hija de Juan Carlos y de una ex rumbera de Juan Carlos…Todavia recuerdo como la ponian a bailar con unos tamborcitos en las caderas…Sin duda Fedra siempre fue un mujeròn

¿Y que me dicen de Angeles Cudos que también estaba en la rumba flamenca y competía con Fedra para ser la más buena del grupo? A Cudos solamente le faltaba cambiar la «d» por una «l» para estar perfecta.
Uno quedaba bizco cuando miraba para un lado y veía a la Fedra meneando el soberbio nalgatorio que se gastaba a más no poder, y tratabas de desviar la mirada al mismo tiempo para observar a Ángeles, sacudiendo su pompis con un hilito dental encajado de forma que se perdía entre las dos montañas que se gastaba.
En el interín, se te cruzaban unos rabos monumentales de cualquiera de las otras, que también formaban parte de las bailarinas y estaban podridas de buenas. Como para volver loco a cualquiera.
Para esos tiempos uno se sospechaba que Juan Carlos estaba raquítico y con cara de cadáver siempre, por comer tanta carne de primera y tan seguido…. Qué envidia sentíamos por ese suertudo. Je,je,je

Naguara yo si buscaba esto, y miren jeje, que recuerdos, y eso que tengo 25, pero en los noventas todavia existia esto. Naguara, ¡¡Es la Rumba del Tacatra…. ¡¡¡TACATRAA!!! jajaja, que vasilon. Y hasta donde yo se, (corrijan si me equivoco), no solo Fedra Lopez, tambien Ivet Dominguez estubo en este grupo, que despues de hay fue que se dio a conocer ella en «Radio Rochela» (cuando era un programa bueno, ahorita no vale nada), en el segmento del «El Portu», que ella siempre seducia a el dueño del abasto (que era el portu), y ella aproposito recogia una moneda que este le tiraba en el piso, solo para mirarle su ****… en fin ¿Creo que ella tambien estubo en el Grupo por esos años 90?
