¿Recuerdan al personaje de el Náufrago que tantas veces vimos en los ochentas?. El Náufrago fue una tira cómica publicada en Venezuela y diseñada por el artista Jorge Blanco en 1980, y que durante buena parte de los ochentas, diferentes empresas utilizaron a este personaje en campañas publicitarias y ecológicas.
El Náufrago comenzó como una tira cómica en el periódico “El Diario de Caracas” a partir de 1981. Luego al aumentar su popularidad fue la portada de cuadernos, la imagen de varios modelos de tarjetas telefónicas, el protagonista de varios spots de televisión, la imagen de varias camisetas y hasta un juego de mesa de ¿Donde está el Náufrago? salió al mercado. Luego de varios años de publicada la tira cómica se creó una colección de libros recopilatorios que aún se puede conseguir por ahÃ.
La Tira Cómica del Náufrago nos contaba en una sola imagen sin palabras la vida del solitario personaje por alargar su estancia en la abandonada isla. Su autor Jorge Blanco, nació en 1945 y ha desarrollado una exitosa carrera como diseñador, humorista, dibujante, ilustrador y escultor, recibiendo importantes reconocimientos en su paÃs y en el exterior. Además de crear al Náufrago es el autor de los dibujos de la imagen corporativa del Museo de los Niños en Caracas.

Hola Javier! Como no acordarme del Náufrago??? Para ese entonces todo estaba forrado de él…… tal como también ocurrio con Fido Dido, recuerdan? Aquel muñeco creo que se Seven Up, con los cabellos parados. Quien no tuviera franelas de ellos, no estaba en nada.
Y hablando de tiras comicas………. Que será de la vida de MEMIN?? Se acuerdan de ese negrito bembon? jajaja, que vacilon. Junto a Condorito, Chespirito y Panchita, eran los clasicos de las revistas animadas. Espero no ser yo la unica que los recuerde, mmmm!
A todos ellos lo recuerdo y sobre todo a MEMIN, porque en esos tiempos en las escuelas a todo el que tuviera esas caracteristicas le decian asà y con respecto a Condorito aún C consiguen Rvistas de el bueno y panchita basta con comprar el Últimas Noticias y ver la sección de loterias para ver una grafiK de esta.

Recuerdo este personaje aunque la verdad es que no me llamo la atención el adquirir alguna de sus historietas que por lo que puedo ver fueron muy populares.
Que lástima que nunca sacaron una versión de programa completo para televisión. Pudo ser un buen comic venezolano para hacerle la guerra a los enlatados gringos (por lo menos tuvieran tÃtulos en español ) Seguramente la hubiese pasado Venezolana de Televisión (¡ojo yo no soy chavista!).
recuerdo que para la version de window 95 sacaron un protector de pantalla con capitulos animados de este particular personaje. saludos a todos.

Jorge Blanco ( El autor del Naufrago) fuè un muy reputado caricaturista, y gran persona a nivel personal.
Cuando el estaba en su momento de mayor auge ( Era el dibujante oficial de la imà gen corporativa del Museo de los Niños – Caracas ) yo apenas estaba en mi infancia.
Recuerdo muchas tardes verle llegar a nuestra casa; en la compañìa de la que serìa un poco màs tarde su esposa; la Sra. Elena Ron.
Creo que està n radicados en EEUU; pero el trabajo, la dedicaciòn; y el gran trabajo que Don Jorge le hizo al Museo de los Niños le valiò innumerables reconocimientos; y una fijaciòn en la memoria de toda una generaciòn de chamos que; en las visitas al Museo, alucinaban con tener una cartuchera de plà stico -Jetbag- ; una franela, una “Goma Nata” con la ilustraciòn de ese simpatiquìsimo personaje solitario…

Como nota curiosa, tengo entendido que el mismo Jorge Blanco hizo las ilustraciones en el menú del restaurant “El Mundo del Pollo” entre Chacao/La Castellana, después del San Ignacio. Si llegan a pasar por ahÃ, comparen los dibujos con los del Museo de los Niños!!
