A finales de los ochentas, nadie sabia lo que era el RAP en español, y fue como Wilfred Morales y su grupo puertorriqueño, de estilo hip-hop en español La Ganga, colocaron su única canción éxito que fue “Mi Abuela”.
Muchos recordarán este fugaz éxito pero que marcó el inconsciente colectivo de principios de los 90. “Mi Abuela” era una parodia al emergente rap caribeño de esa época, trataba sobre las penurias que vive Wilfred al irse de vacaciones y llegar de refilón a casa de su abuela. La que no le servía “Hamburger” sino que arroz con habichuelas y lo dejó “Coquipelado” ya que no le gustaba verlo con su melena.
Aquí en Venezuela, las emisoras de radio la colocaron tanto en el aire que ya los discos de acetato estaban rayados, la canción era utilizada para comerciales de mayonesa y zapatos, Joselo en su programa comico por Venevision, parodio esta canción junto a la actriz cómica Irma Palmieri (haciendo el papel de La Abuela), en la época del colegio todo el mundo la cantaba en clases y hasta se llego inclusive para llamar a nuestras abuelitas, lo hacíamos en el mismo tono y pronunciación que el cantante Wilfred “Mi Abuela”
En el año 2005, el grupo mexicano Molotov, interpretó esta canción, pero con un estilo de Rock y Funk.

siempre recuerdo que en una frase de la canción, cuando le cortaban el pelo, en vez de decir “tijeras” decía “estijeras”….
Esa canción fué un boom en aquella época, así como lo fue Lisa M y el Meneíto. En mi casa yo la cantaba con casette y se escuchó por muchos años, me identifiqué mucho con ese chamo porque en casa de mi abuela no había mucha diversión y eso encajaba exactamente con mi realidad. No debemos olvidar tampoco la famosa cación: “La Madrastra” (igual de famosa en esa época), la cual “Quemaba a su papá”. Buenos recuerdos, aquellos años ochenta de verdad fueron muy buenos…

La portada del disco es sin duda alguna pintoresca…
Recuerdo que esa canción fue versionada por un grupo caribeño que creo que era de aquí, los mismos que cantaban la canción aquella de “tengo una bolita que me sube y me baja”…
Esta canció fue una sensación y a cada rato alguien venia diciendo MI Abuela en verdad que se hacia pesadita la cosa pero es que era un exito como la canción de la “Orquesta de la Luz”

En 1992 ese grupo Altamira Banda Show fue el que cantaba el tema “Antología de Caricias” de la telenovela Cara Sucia de Venevisión.

También tienes razón La Cotorra de Perucho Conde, sí el mismísimo actor cómico, parodió un tema de unos raperos norteamericanos, cambiando obviamente la letra con un sentido a la situación que se vivía por allá en 1980. Si tienen oportunidad de escucharla, verán que se adapta fácilmente a los tiempos que estamos viviendo hoy en día. Saludos amigos!!!!
