El reconocido actor y animador venezolano Juan Manuel Montesinos falleció durante la madrugada de este martes en Barcelona, España, a los 59 años, debido a una serie de complicaciones de salud en los riñones y el hígado, incrementadas con un cáncer.
Montesinos, quien nació el 10 de enero de 1950, en Madrid, desarrolló una dilatada trayectoria profesional de cuarenta años en teatro, cine, televisión y radio. Realizó sus estudios en la Escuela de Artes Escénicas Juana Sujo. Comenzó como actor de teatro en el grupo El Triángulo, participando en varias obras. Fue dirigido por personajes importantes para las artes escénicas como Horacio Peterson, Levy Rosell y Carlos Giménez. Fue miembro estable del grupo Rajatabla.
Juan Manuel Montesinos participó en varias telenovelas, entre ellas: La usurpadora (1971), La zulianita (1977), Las amazonas (1985), Kaina (1995), Mujercitas (1999), Voltea pa’ que te enamores (2006) y ¿Vieja yo? (2008). En el ámbito cinematográfico es muy recordado por su papel en la película Manuela Sáenz, en el año 2000, como el Doctor Thorne, un británico, esposo de Manuela Sáenz, encarnada por Beatriz Valdés, así como en los filmes, La Boda, El Oficio de Vivir, Agonía, El Escándalo, Sherlock Holmes en Caracas, y Piel. Mientras que en el medio radial, condujo programas periodísticos musicales e intervino en diferentes radionovelas.
Yo personalmente recuerdo a Juan Manuel Montesinos más por sus trabajos como animador. En los ochentas condujo por una temporada el concurso Estrella de la Fortuna y por varias temporadas el programa de concursos Match 4 en Venevisión. Inolvidable sus bigotes alargados que llevo varios años como parte de su imagen.

Me entristeció mucho la noticia. Me gustaba mucho Match 4, por allá por los años 80. Si tienen un video de ese programa de concursos, póngalo por favor.
Yo también fui fan de Match4. Recuerdo que la pista o ayuda era «¡caliente, caliente, ah, ah!»
Realmente Montesinos tenía carisma para animar este tipo de programa de concurso.
Igualmente interpretó un papel en la película acerca del caso de los petroespías junto a Flavio Caballero y Corina Azopardo, pero ¿cómo se llamaba la palícula?

Lo recuerdo más que nada por Match 4, fue un excelente animador y gran actor, que pérdida tan lamentable… paz a sus restos…
También actuó en las telenovelas A Todo Corazón (1997), donde se recuerda su papel de José Ramón Gutiérrez, abogado y padre ejemplar; y La Calle de los Sueños (1999).
Otro programa que también conducía era TV Manía, en 1991. Es lo que es hoy en día «Videos Divertidos».
Qué pena tan grande ésta noticia, lo recuerdo mucho también por Match 4, era uno de mis animadores y actores favoritos de la TV venezolana, siempre tan agradable y simpático.

La pelicula en donde participó Juan Manuel Montesinos, se llama «El Escandalo» del año 1.987, y hay una escena donde Juan Manuel y una mujer abordan un helicoptero y le dice a sus amigos «Chao, me voy a echar un polvo en el aire»
Es este film tambien aparecen Corina Azopardo, Giles Bickford, Flavio Caballero, Orlando Urdaneta y trata sobre la Corrupción en la empresa donde se sustenta la economía del país: la industria petrolera.
Y en cuanto a Juan Manuel Montesinos, con ese bigote unico y esa sonrisa contagiosa, y un excelente actor, se le recordará con mucho cariño, Q.E.P.D.
¡Match 4! Cuando me enteré de la noticia del deceso de Montesinos y lo comenté con mi madre, estuvimos un buen rato —en vano— tratando de recordar el nombre del programa de concursos de donde lo conocía (me temo que nunca he sido novelero, por lo que sus papeles dramáticos me eran poco conocidos).
Debo recordar que por los mismos días de esta triste noticia se conoció también de la muerte de Neida Plessman, conocida animadora también de nuestra TV, y más o menos de la misma época, y a quien recuerdo con Guillermo González (aunque, allí voy de nuevo, no recuerdo el programa, tal vez era Fantástico).
Bien valdría dedicarle a ella un sentido post…

Yo lo recuerdo por Match 4, no sabia que era de origen español mas bien pensaba que era de origen italiano , pero en realidad cuando murio me sorprendio que algunos noticieros hicieran enfasis en el Actor Español-venezolano , si mas bien toda su carrera la hizo aqui y el es mas venezolano que muchos , a el tambien lo recuerdo cuando hacia o hablaba como malandro ( muy bueno por cierto) en una novela del canal 8. paz a sus restos.

Joder! Hasta hoy me entero que falleció juan manuel montesinos, por casualidad estaba viendo un video de cheverisimo en youtube y lo lei en un comentario. Siento que este año me van quitando pedazo a pedazo las figuras de mi niñez, junto al hermano coco, tambien es de reciente data la muerte de cesar granados, sin nombrar lo de michael jackson, que junto a Farrah Fawcett y para colmo Patrick Swayze me tienen entre aturdido y triste. La vida es una cosa seria, las epocas pasan y sin darnos cuenta, nos llevan con ellas.
